Please
let me introduce myself, my name is Paolo Apolloni,
I was born and raised in Rome (55 years ago), but
now I live in a little town near called it Segni
located about 35 miles SE of the "Eternal City". For
nearly forty years I've been showing people around
my country, I started following my father's
footsteps when I was 15 y. o., doing tours of Rome,
trips all over Italy, excursions to Florence, the
Amalfi Coast and the famous places near Rome like
the "Castles of Rome", Ostia Antica and Tivoli.
Lately I've been going to Rome's port,
Civitavecchia, a lot, to pick up cruisers and show
them around the city for a few hours. The cruise
ship is a nice means to tour around and see places;
you see a lot of places in a short time, but you
just get a little sample of what the places have to
offer. This website, which can be a good source of
information for any tourist and not just those
who'll decide to hire me to show them around,
besides presenting myself and my tours, is also an
introduction to my country and in particular the
area where I live. This area, anciently called "Campania
Romana" has a lot to offer to the visitor: art,
history, Roman ruins, breathtaking panoramas and
obviously great food and wine, besides the
friendliness of the locals and the enthusiasm they
show welcoming a foreigner. This is the point, this
area hasn't been discovered by mass tourism yet, so
when a tourist shows up he's welcomed with a big
smile. Another good thing about this area is that
the prices here are still very moderate and one can
have a good lunch in a restaurant (an Italian lunch,
not a snack) for as much as 10 Euros and a double
room in a 3-star hotel is 60/70 Euros breakfast
included. If you want to know more about myself,
please
click here and if you want to learn more
about my tours, all you have to do is click the
buttons on the left. Thank you for your visit! |
